One of the most memorable days of the year for a child is National Children’s Day UK (NCDUK), which is dedicated entirely to kids. National Children’s Day in the UK will be celebrated this year on May 14, 2023. This day is all about the importance of a healthy childhood and protecting the rights of children. It’s a day of celebration, but it’s also a great opportunity to spread awareness for this cause however possible.

What’s not to love about Children’s Day, it’s like a combination of their birthdays, Christmas, and other celebrations all packed into one day. To commemorate this day most parks, schools, malls, and kid’s shops have fun events planned for children of all ages. At Wimbledon Day Nursery Playschool in Wimbledon, we host a bunch of fun events each year for Children’s Day.
Have a Picnic Party
Since Children’s Day takes place in May, it’s a great time to get out with the family and enjoy the spring weather at your favourite park or beach. Family picnics with yummy food, silly family games, and enjoying the outdoors is a great way to create family memories that you will cherish forever.
Throw a Dance Party
Everyone loves dancing, especially kids. So why not celebrate Children’s Day by putting on some of your kid’s favourite dance tunes and dance the day away? Your kids will also get a kick out of seeing Mom and Dad busting a move, not to mention getting in some fun exercise. Finish the day off with some tasty snacks and be happy that your kids and family have had a memorable Children’s Day.
Paint Party
Get messy and have fun creating a family mural using your hands and paintbrushes. In celebration of Children’s Day, choose a theme relevant to children’s issues and create a mural together on a long piece so everyone has room to work their magic.
